Cauldron Press
In Chinese culture, the CAULDRON signifies the relationship between a developing individual and the manifesting cosmos. When the two are in harmony, cosmic order prevails and life flourishes.
Chinese medicine identifies three burners or CAULDRONS in the human body. Spirit or consciousness resides in the chest cavity and is circulated by breathing. Energy is produced in the abdomen from digestion and circulates to the cells. Vitality, the result of both our genetic make-up and the interaction of metabolic function is stored in the kidneys and adrenal glands.
Our Primordial State is Spiritual. The Five Virtues of benevolence, an open consciousness, truthfulness, true sensing and real knowledge promote social health and personal development, allowing us to express our original nature. The Five Thieves of excessive temperament, volatility of the lower mind, arbitrary willfulness, aggressive feelings and desires are responsible for mental and physical degeneration.
The goal of Chinese Medicine is to assist the patient, the community and the nation to burn up the base or conditioned states of the Five Thieves in the three CAULDRONS so that vitality, energy and spirit meet through the Five Virtues and form the Spiritual Embryo whereby we become IMMORTAL. A spiritually alchemic process, IMMORTALITY has nothing to do with physical longevity and everything to do with realizing that our Spirit-soul that is IMMORTAL.
The Chinese characters, like incense, wafting above an incense burner in the CAULDRON PRESS logo mean "literature dealing with the IMMORTALITY OF THE SOUL".
